NEXUS
An intelligent, powerful weighing technology featuring a stainless-steel enclosure and high-brightness capacitive touchscreen — the ultimate solution for a highly integrated, evolving industrial environment. NEXUS pairs the same class of performance as AEGIS 5 Advanced with a full-size 10.1″ display, a dedicated Linux application processor and up to four high-precision, low-noise load cell interfaces, all fully programmable to your application.

Built on a secure, custom Linux platform
The application processor is based on MIPS architecture, running a custom version of Linux built by us from the ground up for security, stability and performance. The same base operating system is deployed worldwide in devices such as network routers and firewalls, giving NEXUS an extremely secure, stable and flexible application environment.
NEXUS runs software written specifically for the task at hand — its primary role is reading load cells and processing the data, tailored to suit each customer’s requirements. All software and hardware design is carried out in the UK, with long-term support, configuration and support services included.

Remote access, from the field to the office
An operator can interact with NEXUS directly via the built-in Wi-Fi access point or the touchscreen. For a fully installed system, the Ethernet interface connects to a customer network and, from there, the internet.
Once internet connectivity is established, NEXUS can connect to our back-end server infrastructure — and for systems in the field, we can provide mobile network data connectivity solutions.

NEXUS has scope for communicating with external equipment using serial ports, network protocols, and by driving devices such as beacons, klaxons and switchgear via relays. The weighing termination is configurable to your unique application, connecting operator, process control and information exchange over integral storage or network protocols.
